Doors on the night open at 6pm with the live music kicking off at 8pm
Sat 30th: This Saturday evening we’re super excited to bring you something a bit different as we welcome to our stage local historian and story teller David Silk. Dave will enchant us with some fascinating, and suitably haunting, stories of Christmases past, weaving tales of mystery, murder and the macabre but in a festive manner. This show will be completely free to enjoy and if Dave’s stories impress you you’re very welcome to put a few quid in the Jar on the Bar. Doors on the night will open at 6pm with the story telling starting at 8pm. Please Note due to the nature of the live entertainment on show, this will be a quiet, respectful evening for the duration of the storytelling so bear that in mind if you’re thinking of coming down to our bar
Sun 31st (Upstairs): This year at Prohibition Cabaret Bar our end of year festivities are taking the form of a Big Fat Quiz of the Year!! Hosted by our very own quizmaster, Danny “Eyeballs” Gaffney, this New Year spectacular will feature 8 rounds of questions that will cover the many goings on across 2023 in the form of straight up trivia, picture rounds, dramatic readings and a video round! PLUS there’ll be 3 silly bonus challenges for extra points! And you’re going to want those points as there will be big prizes on offer; without giving too much away there will be fabulous food and drink prizes, big cash prizes, a physical trophy and other perhaps less serious prizes too – and what’s more EVERY team will win something, no empty hands going into 2024! All this, plus your entry in the quiz also includes a glass of bubbly and a big cheer when the clock strikes midnight! It’s going to be a fantastic way to write off the delightful year we’ve all just had. We’re looking for 10 teams to take part, with a maximum of 4 people per team. To enter it costs £45 for the table (regardless of how many people are in the team) with all the entry money going towards the prizes – the bottle of fizz is included in the entry fee. On the night the doors will open at 8pm with the quiz starting at 8:30pm. If you’d like to book a table in the quiz send an email over to prohibitionbookings@gmail.com, or ask the staff the next time you’re in the bar, and we’ll get you signed up (first come first serve).
