…and that’s a wrap!
Thank you everyone for all your love and support over this last decade. Thanks to all the incredible performers and artists who have graced our stage and provided a whole host of wonderful entertainment for ALL. You’re amazing and I’m so proud to call many of you my friends. Similarly with a good few customers who became regulars over the years. It’s been such a journey, one which could not have happened without the trust and belief of those who helped me make my vision a reality in the first place and create such a diverse and inclusive space. A decade is a long time and what’s been packed into that is quite the accomplishment! Two unique locations, thousands of incredible shows and acts, weekly quizzes, countless weddings, blessings, send offs, anniversaries, parties, shindigs, knee’s ups, photo shoots, music videos and even a movie location (!) and thousands of Signature Serves and bottles of Prohibition 33 Pale Ale have been enjoyed by a decade’s worth of happy customers. It’s been a wild ride of serious highs and occasional lows. Thanks to my amazing team of staff, all of them over the years, who’ve helped build up the success and a great reputation, winning the bar multiple awards as one of the best bars in the city, especially my ‘right hand’ guys Doug (from 2018 to 2022) and our Danny, instrumental to keeping all the wheels turning and all the plates spinning, I’m forever grateful to you. This may be the end of an incredible chapter in my life, but it is, of course, not the end of my story. With over 30 years involvement in the North East live scene under my belt I will never not be a part of it in one way or another. So, until we meet again, I thank you, all of you, from the bottom of my heart, for everything ~ Mitch “The Boss” Mitchell
