DuVall Events’ ELECTROBELLA returns with its organ bursting, throbbing soundtrack of electro, dance, synth, disco and pop to celebrate Halloween 2019! This years theme is the rather fabulous and regularly bonkers ‘American Horror Story’! You just know you’re going to have to dress to impress in your finest fancy dress (but its not compulsory) to make it the most! Sun 3rd: 3pm-6pm: The Hound Club – An afternoon social event for respectable hounds of all breeds and sizes and their human companions to enjoy a drink together in canine company. For dog owners and dog lovers alike, no hound required! Treats and toys provided. Now in its 3rd year Hound Club continues to run on the 1st Sunday of every month so be sure to pop it in your diaries! FREE (donations of food/treats/toys for Brysons Animal Shelter are always welcome)

Comprising Joe Broughton, Paloma Trigás, Tom Chapman and Dan Walsh. Support comes from Axum Folk Ensemble. UFQ will be running an afternoon musicians’ workshop for an insight into their unique approach. Touring throughout 2019 as part of their 10yr anniversary. A team of comedians, improvisers and musicians take inspiration from the early 1900s to bring you a comedy night like nothing you have experienced before. There will be everything from cheeky comedy songs, to an improvised comedy murder mystery! We cannot wait to take you back to the 1920s and make you laugh a vintage laugh. Tickets £8. Thu 14th: Venue – Ceitidh Mac LIVE. Starting her UK tour with a hometown gig right here in Newcastle with support from ‘The Cusp’. Ceitidh Mac blends the warming tones of the cello and soaring vocals to create a transformative sound that puts a progressive twist on the alt-folk genre. Inventive cello melodies are bolstered by synth hooks, strong rhythmic riffs and the unique sounds of the vibraphone to build a transfixing live atmosphere which draws the audience in. Tickets £7. Sat 16th:Venue –Hoodoo BluesA night of fusion blues music and dancing with a cool, relaxed atmosphere. Class open to all levels and suitable for those new to fusion blues dancing. No need to bring a dance partner. New people attending each month – just come along and join in! Doors 7pm / hour class starts 7.30pm then social dancing from 8.30pm till midnight. For the class and the social dance it is £10 or £7.50 for student or for those where money is tight at the moment, and £5 for social dance only. Pay on the door.

From it’s humble Brooklyn beginnings, Dr. Sketchy’s now has over 100 branches around the globe, including Los Angeles, London, Rome, Tokyo, and now Newcastle!
